StoutNook makes practical, defensive security tools for people and small businesses: strong passwords and passphrases, honest strength and breach checks, file and message encryption, download verification, link checks and email-domain records. Secrets are handled in your browser and never sent to us, and where a tool needs an outside service, we say exactly what it receives. We don't build tools for getting into other people's accounts or systems.
How our tools work
Every tool on StoutNook runs inside your web browser. When you open a file, your own device does the work using built-in browser technology and WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded, so the tools are fast, work with large files, and keep your files private.
Free, without sign-ups
You'll never need an account or an email address. The site is paid for by ads, which we keep out of the way of the tools themselves.
